Help me congratulate newly published author, Rowan Glynn!

Completing her first short story during the 1K Thrills Writing Challenge hosted by Rachel Graham this past October, she has opted to have her story included in Thousand Word Thrills: Short Story Collection. Included in Thousand Word Thrills are established authors such as Rachel Graham, Hayley Bernard-Ryan, M.A. Savino along with many authors experiencing the thrill of having their first story published.

But who is Rowan Glynn?

If you search the name, you won’t find much on her although she is very active in the Indie book world. For the past year she has selflessly promoted Indie authors and their work by reading and reviewing every book possible – posting these reviews on her blog, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. But again, you won’t know her by Rowan Glynn as that is the pen name chosen to write under.

However, most of you will recognize the name The Tx Lit Chic aka Karen. Yep, it’s me.

So what’s next?

During the judging of the 1K Thrills Writing Challenge I received wonderful, positive feedback on my story – even a couple suggestions to take the journey further into a full length novel as many wanted to know what was going to happen next. I kind of left it at a cliff-hanger so that the readers could use their imagination as to how it concluded. But, here’s to setting one writing project aside for picking this one back up and seeing where it goes. Wish me luck – maybe those who wanted to see what transpired before, during, and after the short story with Kaylie’s character will get their chance!
