“A room without books is like a body without a soul.”
~Marcus Tullius Cicero
Welcome, and THANK YOU for stopping by!
I’m more commonly known in indie book circles as The Tx Lit Chic. I am a book loving, blog writing, review leaving Texas girl turned author.
My first book Silent Night by Rowan Glynn (pen name), a psychological thriller with paranormal undertones, debuted 12/21/2025 and is available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited. I currently have 6 other titles that will intertwine with Silent Night in the works that will be written under the same pen name, and a new paranormal comedic mystery series lined up that I’m writing with my best friend of over 40 years. That one will be loosely based on our true-life adventures and shenanigans with some paranormal characters (and boy are they characters) and mysteries to solve. And hey, if you grew up in our real-life version of “The Hollow,” you might just recognize yourself making a drop-in appearance or even being a full-time resident with us (though names will be changed to protect the guilty by association).
To-date, the blog has been solely focused on blog reviews since it’s beginning with a few random posts here and there. I am hoping to share a little more of my author journey – it’s been a wild and educational one – on here, as well as tips, tricks, shortcuts (there really aren’t any, but there are steps to save you double the work), and whatever else I learn along the way.
I do NOT claim to be the know all of writing. Far from it. I am still on my journey of re-learning proper use of nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, sentence structure, em dashes, elipses, heck, I’m honestly surprised I’ve retained as much as I have at this point in life. But there is ALWAYS something new to learn. Every. Single. Day.
In addition, you will likely see me promoting my husband’s businesses, linking up our webpages for my author’s, his shops and who knows what else. But one thing I can promise, if it is shenanigans, they will be entertaining.
Now that you’ve found me, us, all of my personalities, you will stick around. You can reach me any time for requests to read ALPHA/BETA/ARC’s for you, published work for a review, or just to say hey at [email protected] or [email protected] if it is in regards to books published under that pen name.
