Monday, May 26, 2025 – Memorial Day

Memorial Day, a day for most that involves cook outs, pool parties, hanging with friends and the kickoff to summer.

For a select group, it means so much more. It isn’t a day of celebration. Or for sales. It is a day of reflection and remembrance. Remembering those who weren’t able to come home. The ones who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy the sales, the cook outs, the pool parties, the hanging with friends and our summers, falls, winters and springs. For the truly unselfish, it is a day we commemorate and honor the men and women who have died while serving in the United States Military.

So, while you enjoy your cool dip in the pool, eating your burgers, saving money on big purchases – take time and say a prayer, a blessing, whatever you choose to do, for those who never made it home and for their family’s.

Here at The Tx Lit Chic, we are very proud of our men and women of the US Military. We have multiple family members who have served and come home, but some have experienced that loss of a brother or sister in uniform who didn’t. So we give our thanks, our respect and a moment of silence in remembrance of those who gave that ultimate sacrifice.
